''The Comedy Come Up' is a 30-minute comedy series produced by Gradygirl Productions featuring fresh talented comedians from all walks of life. A modern day Def Comedy Jam if you will. We know funny on The Comedy Come Up and we bring funny to the stage. This is NOT an open mic set. We are taping shows for a comedy series in front of a live audience.

'The Comedy Come Up' will breed some comedy stars. Our stage is the starting point for most comedians on their comedic journey. There's no cost to perform on the show. We also do not pay comedians to perform. New comedians are welcome. The importance of knowing and upholding the culture at 'The Comedy Come Up' is taken very seriously.

Our culture is simple: we see, care, and respect our comedians!

To become a successful comedian is quite the journey. So we nurture and water our all of comedians with love and encouragement. Sometimes that's all you need to succeed --is to know that someone is routing for you!

Tonia Grady aka 'Gradygirl' is the creator, showrunner, EP, and director of 'The Comedy Come Up'. She's also a former CNN television producer and the CEO/Executive Producer of her own production company affectionately titled, Gradygirl Productions. Gradygirl Productions is a soup-to-nuts production company specializing in television, film, and media.

Gradygirl is a creative force of nature and is celebrating 25 years in the business. She's a producer, filmmaker, director, journalist, host, author, and celebrity interviewer. She's made a name for herself by producing her own variety talk show 'Red Room Tonight' where she interviewed mega stars like: Tyler Perry, Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac, Earth Wind & Fire, Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs, Slick Rick, Anika Noni Rose, Kirk Franklin, Ted Turner, Roland Martin, Chris Rock, and Lilly Wachowski to name a few.

She's a black female creative who's blazed a trail all on her own. Gradygirl's the self-proclaimed 'Queen of Content' with several tv shows, films, and podcasts under her belt.
